120 (who?)
baby, don't look back by Crimefish baby, don't look back by Crimefish
Let's pretend the black areas are black, shall we? I think I need to start shading properly.
I've been doing a little of this everytime I woke up in the night for the past week. I didn't look at the time when I started or finished 'cause I'm trying to stop rushing myself.
Miyavi (if you couldn't tell by the piercings and half-smile of his) riding a motorcycle (or at least pretending to) in mechanical pencil.
I might try to change the levels in photoshop. It feels like it's been ages since I did a graphite drawing.

Absolutely beautiful. From this angle, it isn't easy to show who it is but you did such a good job that even in thumbnail form I guessed it was Miyavi. <333

Without reading the text, the large white circle confuses me, but really, I don't have any critique for you, love. Really, it could even be it doesn't really bother me...alas, no critique.

I adore the stark contrast between your WHITE! and BLACK! (e.g. I adore you tonal range) Very nicely done. It helps Miyavi feel so much more 3D...

Interesting crop. Putting his face in that corner helps me look all around the pic. Great composition.

I love the texture on the hat, the reflections on the sunglasses...the multitude of shades on the strands of hair...the fact that the hair is a bit blurred (in motion!)

So. I like this pic muchly. :+fav:

Whoa, what a great comment. 8D
I should start by saying the white circle is supposed to be a motorcycle headlight. I think the reference showed it much more clearly, but I've cropped off so much of the bike that it just looks kind of abstract.
Ah, the white and black - the thing that probably bugs me most about using graphite is it's hard to get white whites (after you're done smudging the whole thing >.>; ) and black blacks. Sometimes I even get so fed up I use a colour pencil to go over the areas that should be black. But this time, I was pretty pleased with the shades. Maybe my scanner liked me that day, too.

I spent a few minutes looking at that blurred clump of hair and wondering how to draw it, and thankfully I screwed up on the first try. Then I started to erase it, and found that my eraser gave a really good effect. So I left it like that. Sweet serendipity.

Thanks so much for such a thoughtful comment (and for the favourite!). I don't get ones like this often.
