I was in art block for six months. Hopefully it's over now. I got my mojo back! No sudden movements, you might scare it away. I'm gonna be drawing more, if possible. I've been cripplingly tired, and in quite a bit of pain. -_-
Harry Spangler and Ed Zeddmore (of Hellhoundslair.com and the fictional TV show Ghostfacers). These guys are professionals. SRS BZNS.
prismacolor pencils A4 drawing paper ref. - Supernatural screencap: Travis Wester/Harry Spangler and AJ Buckley/Ed Zeddmore WIP: [link]
I was so broken hearted when it tore that way. I try to always leave it as intact as possible when I pull it out of the pad. You're right, though. It actually makes great sense considering the subject (I hadn't even though of that, and I tend to over-think and analyse everything to death).
They're so awesome. The first time I saw the Ghostfacers episode, I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever seen. I actually felt ripped off. But with time it's grown on me. Yep, colour pencil. Everybody tells me the way I use them makes it look painted, which is kind of cool... giving me no motivation to ever learn to paint, though, if I can get the effect with pencils.
Thank you very much. ME TOO. I got so much work done today, I shocked myself. I've been drawing for four consecutive days. It's heaven. I missed my back ache and my sore eyes. And my productivity, of course.
Thank you very much. Honestly, I just pick like three random colours (almost always including royal blue), and then use them consistently throughout the whole image so that it looks like I planned it. And, of course, I try to blend them smoothly. You can't just be courageous, you gotta have some skill to carry it off.
That is an amazing piece of art. I love it! I love all the negative space as well, it makes it looks really wonderful and open. The detail is amazing and I love that what you have done with the light and darks.
Thank you so much. YES. I was so happy the first time I used this composition, 'cause I found a way to draw something small and relatively quick, that still comes across as a real artwork instead of a doodle.
THANK YOU. I've been meaning to draw these guys for SO LONG. I wanna do a bunch more corner studies, like Cas, Bobby, Chuck... and John and Mary. Maybe Jo and Ellen. Everyone, basically. I mean, I wanna do real portraits of all those people, too, but this is good for the meantime.
yeah, i totally love background characters. they can be so interesting. also, i'm soo behind on supernatural for the first time that i might cry when i get the time to sit down and watch 7 straight hours. omg
I hope so, too. x.x I have an MRI next month, to get a good look at my liver, so my doctor(s) can form a prognosis. It's exciting. I've never had a prognosis before. Only the customary and totally false "you'll be fine" they give everyone.
YES. I'm happy to be drawing again. When I haven't been working, I don't feel like I belong here. Like even if I comment everyone to death, I'm still only a spectator.
I hope they give you some actual news. I hate when doctors are just like, "Yup, you'll survive." And all the while you're in pain worthy of torture in hell and you're thinking "Yes, I'll survive, if I don't stick my head in the oven." Or maybe that's just me. Haha.
): Aw, commenting is still better than nothing, though!
I missed them, too! x_x; It sucked. Everytime I tried to draw, it was like beginner work. Like I totally forgot everything I know, or at least couldn't access any of it.
Thank you kindly. I wanna say Harry is on the left and Ed is on the right? Yeah, the backlighting was tricky, and then the difference in contrast in their colouring because of that... I didn't really know what I was doing. 8D; Glad it turned out okay, haha.
