My god this is amazing! The seperate pictures must be so tiny. And ugh I can't get over the amount of detail here. Your colored pencil drawings already inspired me to try drawing with them! I must try someting like thi when I have time
Oh! How awesome. Glad to have started a trend. I have to give credit to nutkin @ Livejournal for the references. I drew them almost exactly the way she had cropped them. I think the only thing that allows me ANY credit for that at all, is how unusual this kind of composition is, in fine or traditional art genres.
Thank you. Anyway, off to comment on your drawing now!
Ahahah! I don't think the frustration ever stops. But if you were satisfied with your work, you wouldn't try as hard to improve. I think it's the difference between people who really get better, and people who draw at basically the same skill level their whole lives.
I try to work around gaps in skill by thinking hard about which moments I could pull off, or what way I could portray them that'd look good... but mostly, the best way to improve is by challenging yourself. If you keep drawing things that frustrate you, that's a sign you're challenging yourself, and then hopefully you'll make quick improvement, and it won't be frustrating for long.
This is so stunning. I swear, every time I see one of your or one of Nicolien's drawings, I just wanna never draw anything ever again, because I feel I am not worthy. But in a good way. Because you are just so ridiculously good. Wow. : )
